1960’s Conn Smythe Trophy (13”)

1960’s Conn Smythe Trophy (13”)

Without a doubt, the most attractive of the individual awards presented by the National Hockey League, the Conn Smyth Trophy is certainly a work of art. Maple Leaf Gardens in miniature against a maple leaf backdrop mounted on a substantial wood base. A silver plaque attached to the base reads “Conn Smythe Trophy, Presented to the National Hockey League by Maple Leaf Gardens Ltd. To be awarded annually to the Outstanding Player of the Playoffs, 1965”. Identical in every way to the personal trophy awarded each year to the post-season MVP. Green felt at the base. Manufactured by Petersen with their hallmark on the verso. This example is certainly vintage and aged in appearance yet remains in excellent condition. It was presented in the late 1960’s by the National Hockey League to former Boston Bruins Vice President Charles Mulcahy. Letter of Authenticity signed by Charles Mulcahy.
