1960s Nellie Fox Game Worn Houston Astros Cap
A familiar "H" for Houston on an orange star graces this hat from the 1960s that was once game worn by the great Nellie Fox during his time with the Houston Astros. Fox's Hall of Fame career primarily went through Chicago as a member of the White Sox, but the stellar second baseman finished his career as a player in Houston, where he later served as a coach. Handwritten underneath the brim is, "Player coach, Houston Astros, 63-67, Nellie Fox" in Fox's wife's hand. The New Era hat is a size 7, and as fashion is cyclical, is the same style used by the team today.
