1960s New York Mets 10k Gold Team Ring Presented to NY Sports Writer (Family LOA)
This beautiful artifact was presented to New York area sportswriting legend Jack Lang in the 1960s. Lang started covering the Brooklyn Dodgers until their departure for Los Angeles, then wrote about the NY Mets from 1962 until 1989. The ring is stamped "Balfour 10k" and "J.L" inside, an image of Mr. Met is on left shank, with Shea Stadium on right. The Mets baseball logo on the face is topped by a diamond and two rubies, completing the picture of this size 10.5 gem. Comes with LOA from Lang's son.
