1961 Bob McNeill Chicago Packers Game Worn Jersey
Exceptionally rare jersey from the 1961-62 Chicago Packers of the NBA was game worn during the preseason by Bob McNeill. Road jersey is navy blue with Chicago arched across the chest in individual letters above the number 7 in orange-on-white tackle twill, with same style number on back and no name. MacGregor size 38 tag inside front tail, shows nice use. Graded A10 by MEARS but the letter has been lost, though it has a MEARS number on the tag. After playing his first pro season with the New York Knicks, McNeill appeared in the preseason of the inaugural year for the team that is now the Washington Wizards, and his contract was sold to the Philadelphia Warriors on May 16, 1961. This was the only season the Packers used that name, changing to the Zephyrs for one season before moving to Baltimore to become the Bullets, thus the scarcity of this tough collectible.
