1961 College All-Americans Signed Football with Ernie Davis (PSA)
The autograph of the first African-American to earn the Heisman Trophy, Ernie Davis, is the centerpiece of this 1961 College All-Americans multi-signed football. Signed by 11 in all: Davis "Syracuse," Roman Gabriel, Winston, Kroll, Collins, Bell, Romig, Saxton, Mitinger, Ferguson and Neighbors. Each player wrote his college in his own hand, except Ferguson. The MacGregor ball has "All American 1961" stamped on it and is NM, slightly deflated but holds air. Signatures average 7/10. Davis was the NFL's first pick overall in 1962, but was diagnosed with leukemia and died less than a year later without ever having played a pro football game. Comes with PSA LOA.
