1961 Ed Jucker University of Cincinnati National Basketball Championship Ring
Under the guidance of Coach Ed Jucker, the University of Cincinnati dominated college basketball, with National Championships in both the 1961 and '62 seasons. This ring is from the first of those two Bearcats titles and belonged to the coach whose .917 winning percentage remains the best in NCAA tourney history. In NRMT condition with red stone on top, with University of Cincinnati 1961 on the bezel. Each shank bears the letters NCAA, the left over the traditional logo, with the right bearing "National Champions" engraved around the logo above an inverted chevron with the words Diligence, Discipline and Integrity. It is stamped inside with Jostens' diamond "J" logo and also 10K gold, as well as Jucker's initials also engraved inside. The ring is size 10.5 and weighs 21.4 grams.Worthy of note is that this comes from the widow of Ed Jucker with her LOA, in which she states that team members were given the choice of rings or watches - in 1961 Ed chose the ring but in 1962 he chose the watch, making this one-of-a-kind offering his only Championship ring.
