1961 Ernie Davis Recruitment Postcard from the Cleveland Browns
This one of a kind recruitment card originally given to Ernie Davis as senior while at Syracuse is simply remarkable. No post mark and note that reads, "Hand Deliver To Mr. Davis" shows they must have really admired him. The card is quick, too the point and reads, "The Cleveland Browns Football Club is canvassing some outstanding college seniors regarding the possibility of their playing professional football. You have been recommended to us by an interested person and we would appreciate your prompt answer of attached questionnaire. Please complete this questionnaire even though you are neither interested nor a senior at this time." The questionnaire is missing, I think we all know where that went...
