1961 Fred Dierking Cincinnati Bearcats National Championship Ring
Cincinnati was an NBA town between 1957 and 1972, with Oscar Robertson being the club's superstar attraction. However, the franchise never won a championship after leaving Rochester, New York. There was championship hoops being played in town, though, as the University of Cincinnati Bearcats won back-to-back NCAA titles in 1961 and 1962. Offered here is one of the spoils from the program's first title: a size 11 championship ring belonging to center Fred Dierking, who averaged 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in a reserve role during the campaign. Surrounding the red stone at the center of the ring reads: "UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI 1961." "NCAA" and its old logo appear on both left and right sides, while the inside features a diamond symbol and "10 K." It is NRMT, comes in its original box. Fred Dierking LOA included.
