In addition to issuing cards on the backs of Post Cereal boxes, in 1961 the Post cereal company made the same set of cards available by mail in perforated uncut sheets. One sheet represented one team, with ten cards per team for each of the 16 sheets. This is a very high grade complete set of all sixteen 1961 Post team sets in their original uncut form, and it is very rare to find still in complete sheet form as originally issued by mail. As often is the case when a specific series is produced in a different format, Post changed up some cards from those which appeared on the boxes, creating extreme rarities within the 1961 Post cereal set. The two most difficult, #73 Chuck Estrada and #94 Chuck Stobbs, were only available via the mail. Many others have team and text variations that appear only on the perforated uncut sheet "company-issue" cards, including the Twins cards, which appears as Minneapolis on the cards from the cereal boxes, but as Minnesota on the uncut sheets. This lot totals 160 cards with 16 sheets of 10 cards each - all in amazing uncut sheet form.
