1961 Tony Kubek World Series Game Worn Jersey
The 1961 Yankees capped off a fantasyland season, with Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle going head to head against the ghost of Babe Ruth before mercy-killing the Reds in a 5-game WS. Fabulous home white pinstripe by Rawlings was worn by unsung Yankee Tony Kubek during the World Series and is offered with Kubek's original T-shirt underneath. Jersey with felt embroidered "NY" over the heart shows exceptional use and wear throughout. Tony's number 10 has been replaced by the team with the number "70" on the back. "Kubek" embroidered in navy chain-stitch on felt nameplate in the collar. Tagging on the front left tail is "Rawlings [size] 44" with "61 set 2" embroidered in blue thread below.
