1961 World Champion New York Yankees Reunion Team-Signed Limited Edition Lithograph
Presented is a 1961 World Champion New York Yankees reunion team-signed limited edition lithograph with 30+ signatures. The '61 Yankee team reunion took place in the early 1990s in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The '61 Bronx Bombers went 109-53 in the regular season and beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 in games in the World Series. It was the season when Roger Maris bashed 61 home runs to break Babe Ruth's single season record of 60, and Mickey Mantle was neck-and-neck with Maris until an abscess forced Mantle to miss games in September, and he finished with 54 round-trippers. Whitey Ford led the Yankees pitchers with a 25-4 record. Framed at approx. 24.5x36.5", the lithograph is also signed and inscribed by artist Ron Lewis, in black ink from a marker, "Ron Lewis 545/1000." Among the signatures: Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, and Yogi Berra. Other notable signatures: Ralph Houk (manager), Johnny Sain (pitching coach), Ryne Duren, Hector Lopez, Al Downing, Johnny Blanchard, Rollie Sheldon, Dud Daley, Luis Arroyo, Clete Boyer, and Bob Turley. The lithograph is in excellent condition, and the autographs overall range from fair to excellent.
