1961 Yogi Berra New York Yankees Signed Game Used Bat
36'' and 31.4 oz. The number "R43" is stamped into the knob and "32" written in marker (weight). The name "Yogi" is written in faded red marker. The bat has special "across the grain" branding that was requested by Berra. Yogi would turn his bat while swinging and this special type of branding would make sure that when Yogi connected with the ball, he had proper grain alignment. According to factory records, the bat's length of 36 inches and model number of "43" pinpoint this bat to the historic 1961 season. Uncracked and shows light use. There are two filled in holes, one on each side of the barrel. The holes were originally placed there so that the bat could be mounted for display. Signed by Berra in blue sharpie. LOA.
