1962 Martin Luther King Jr. and Wife Photograph (PSA Type I)
Original Type I photograph capturing Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife Coretta posing in King's office. The two are pictured looking over a Southern Christian Leadership Conference document amid a pile of letters and books on his desk. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten identification and the date "9/9/62." King and his family were living in Atlanta in 1962, where he served as pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Nearly one year later he would deliver his historic "I Have a Dream" speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. The photo (10x8") displays several light creases and is in Very Good condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
