1962 Mickey Mantle Vintage Signed Game Used Bat
This is one of the best Mickey Mantle bats we have ever seen. It was signed by Mantle in 1962. The inscription on the barrel of the Powerized Hillerich & Bradsby, Louisville Slugger 125 was written by Mantle, and reads, "To George Hutter - My Best Wishes and lots of luck. Mickey Mantle". Hutter owned a bar in New York City that Mantle used to frequent. Mickey Mantle gave this bat as a gift to George Hutter, who later gave it to a friend. That person then gave it to our consignor. The bat weighs 32 oz., and measures 35" long. The handle was cracked and repaired. Model "F108" has been stamped on the knob. There is a vintage "7" written in black marker on the knob and on the barrel end. Other markings (in black marker) are also on the barrel end. The bat shows nice use with ball marks, bat rack marks, and pine tar. Signature is graded an 8/10. JSA LOA for the signature.
