1962 "Nassau Agreement" Walking Liberty Half Dollar Gifted by John F. Kennedy

1962 "Nassau Agreement" Walking Liberty Half Dollar Gifted by John F. Kennedy

This 1942 Walking Liberty half dollar coin was gifted to our consignor's father at the meetings for the 1962 "Nassau Agreement" between the United States and United Kingdom, relating to nuclear capable missiles. At a luncheon for John F. Kennedy, British Prime Minister Harold MacMillan and Prime Minister of Canada John Diefenbaker, the consignor's father served the men drinks at which time President Kennedy gave him this half dollar. That meeting was held for three days in the Bahamas, where our consignor currently resides.
