1962 New York Mets Yearbook Proof Cover

1962 New York Mets Yearbook Proof Cover

Here's one we have not seen... an original cardboard proof from the New York Mets' first yearbook cover, drawn by famed sports cartoonist Willard Mullins. From the club's debut season of 1962, the cover features an infant in a diaper and Mets cap. Measuring 17.5" x 11.5", there are a couple of creases, but otherwise is in NRMT condition. With Casey Stengel at the helm, the 1962 expansion Mets set the major league record for losses with 120.
