1962 St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Jersey with Pants & Cap

1962 St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Jersey with Pants & Cap

After a short career as a part-time third baseman and outfielder Vern Benson returned to the Cardinal in a somewhat more successful role as a coach. It was during that time he would wear this cream colored "home" jersey with his number "8" on front and back. "Rawlings [size] 42" tag in front tail along with "Benson 62." chain-stitched in red. Very good use with all original numbers and Cardinals logo on front. The pants, worn by an unknown player or coach a decade earlier, come from Rawlings and have their manufacturers [size] "36" tag in the waist band. And lastly, the early 1960's professional Cardinals cap with leather head band is a [size] 7 1/8. Its Rawlings label has fallen out and has no identifying numbers written.
