1963 Sugar Ray Robinson Handwritten Letter Collection (22)
Incredibly personal handwritten letters are from the Champ to his girlfriend from Paris and Brussels, where he was preparing for a bout. The content often becomes pornographic. Some make reference to his upcoming bouts against Armand Vanucci, Fabio Bettin and Emile Sarens. There’s even a signed “get well” card. Most are written on hotel notepad paper with the name of the hotel he was staying at. All but the card have original mailing envelopes with European stamps and postmarks. NRMT.
