1963 Topps Astronauts Original Artwork
In the '60s, space travel was on the mind of every American, culminating in the moon landing of '69. This piece, from a series of astronaut cards produced by Topps in 1963, was an expression of this space-race obsession. The centerpiece of this framed set is the original flexicrome artwork used during the production of card number 24, "Grissom in Pressure Suit." Underneath, the final card 24 and another card from the set are mounted for comparison. The set, framed out to 13x16", is in excellent (EX) condition, and is a wonderful display piece for vintage Topps fans everywhere.
