1964 Arnold Palmer Used Golf Clubs (20) with 25 Reprints of Popular Mechanics Magazine
Old fashioned wooden clubs were used by golf icon, Arnold Palmer in preparation for a story in Popular Mechanics Magazine regarding the use of the old hickory shafted golf clubs back in the 1920’s versus the contemporary metal shafts. 20 clubs, well used but in Excellent condition, are made up of 3 “mid irons”, 2 nine irons, 4 seven irons, 3 six irons, 2 five irons, 1 four iron, 2 three irons, 1 seven wood, 1 five wood, & 1 three wood. Palmer hand picked, and used these clubs especially for Popular Mechanics Magazine. Included with the clubs are 25 copies of the issue of Popular Mechanics in which the story was printed. LOA from Donald Pack Bryan, author of the article for Popular Mechanics who assembled the choice of clubs for Palmer. Also comes with an 8.5x10.5” photo of Arnold Palmer testing out the clubs in the clubhouse.
