1964 Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Colts NFL Championship Game Panoramic Vintage Photograph
Displayed is an impressive large panorama photo of Cleveland Stadium on December 27, 1964, that shows the Cleveland Browns playing the Baltimore Colts in the NFL Championship Game before a crowd of 79,544. The Browns rolled over the favored Colts, winning 27-0. Browns' quarterback Frank Ryan completed 11 of 18 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns - all thrown to wide receiver Gary Collins. Hall of Famer Jim Brown rushed for 114 yards, and Hall of Famer Lou Groza added two field goals. The Cleveland defense stymied the Colt rushing attack, limiting Baltimore to only 92 yards on the ground, and held Colt HOF quarterback Johnny Unitas (seen in the panorama at quarterback) to merely 95 yards passing on 12-20. The black and white panorama is framed at 10x40". This was the first NFL title game to be televised by CBS and the last NFL championship game to be televised in black and white. The vintage photograph provides an excellent piece of nostalgia for the 1960s NFL.
