1964 Cleveland Browns World Championship Ring

1964 Cleveland Browns World Championship Ring

With LeBron James and Johnny Manziel in town, the future is looking brighter for Cleveland professional sports as that championship-starved city hasn't popped champagne corks in half a century. The last time it did have occasion to celebrate was in 1964, when the Browns stunned the heavily-favored Baltimore Colts, 27-0, scoring all their points in the second half and limiting Johnny Unitas to just 95 yards and two interceptions. Here's the holy grail for Cleveland - the very championship ring that was awarded to players and team personnel. It is a size 8 Balfour 10k ring housed in an original Balfour box. The ring's face features a large diamond inset into a colored stone with "Browns World Champions" encircling the top. One shank has a Browns helmet with the recipient's name above and the stadium below. The opposite side reads: "Browns 27 Colts 0," "1964" and the NFL shield. 34.2 grams.
