1964 Cleveland Indians Game Worn Jersey with Cap
Don McMahon played before the dominating bullpen closer had emerged as a baseball position. The stocky righthander, always durable and always in demand, was a hard throwing reliever, who in his two seasons with the Tribe collected an impressive twenty-seven saves. His vest style "road" zipper-front jersey is stitched with the team's Chief Wahoo logo on the right breast and his number "44" on front and back. Inside the collar is a "MacGregor size 44" and inside the tail is a "MacGregor Set 1 1964" tag. Heavy use but still EX condition. All original. Also included is a circa 1961 Indians cap by Wilson (size 7 1/4). Number "33" under the brim which was crossed out and written with "23" beside it, all in lack marker. The original wearer of the cap was probably "Mudcat" Grant. Nice use.
