1964 Joe Cronin Letter r.e. Jim Northrup and Detroit Tigers Player Contracts

Cronin wrote this letter to VP James Campbell of the Detroit Tigers regarding contracts of players he had approved. James (Jim) Northrup is the big name that stands out. Northrup is most known for his play during the World Series Championship year of 1968 for the Tigers and more notably the game-winning triple he hit in game 7 off Bob Gibson. The second name, William (Bill) Roman, who had a very short stint in the majors, known for hitting a home run as a pinch hitter in his first career at-bat.
