1964 Mike Shannon St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Jersey
He spent his entire nine-year Major League career with the Cardinals, and then hung around for nearly four full decades as a radio announcer for the club. From his days on the field, the third baseman and right fielder wore this beautiful home jersey that was saved by Mike after the 1964 World Series championship. The jersey is all-original with "Cardinals" on the front and "18" below. "SHANNON" is sewn directly on to the back with "18" below. There is Rawlings size 44 tagging on the front tail with "Shannon 64" stitched in below. Washing instructions appear inside the front tail. The jersey shows very nice use and Shannon signed both the front and the back. Counting his time in the minor leagues, Mike Shannon has spent a total of 55 years as a member of the Cardinals organization in one capacity or another.
