1964 New York Yankees American League Championship Ring

1964 New York Yankees American League Championship Ring

A stunner in a league of its own, the Bronx Bombers' 1964 American League Championship ring is a Yankee doodle dandy. Red, white and blue diamonds are inlaid into the engraved top hat logo. Three larger red, white and blue gems dot the staging surface, which also has the Yankees' script running through the bat stem. A protruding half-globe baseball adorns the side panels with "1964." Elegant heirloom was showy enough for even Joe Pepitone. The Yogi-managed Yankees were 99-63 but lost to Bob Gibson and the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series, 4 games to 3. And they still got jewelry. The 14-karat gold salesman sample carries the Balfour stamp. We should all be so indulged after finishing second.
