1965-66 Luis Aparicio Tiburones de La Guaira (La Guaira Sharks) Game Worn Jersey
Fantastic gray flannel jersey was worn by Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio while playing professional winter baseball in his homeland of Venezuela. Jersey has "La Guaira" across the front in script and number "11" on the back. Sharks 1964-65 Champions ("Campeones") patch is sewn on the left sleeve. Wilson size 40 tag in the collar and on the left tail, along with cleaning instructions. Jersey shows very nice use. Aparicio's number 11 has been retired not only by the La Guaira baseball club but also by the entire country of Venezuela. Even the softball teams there prohibit players from wearing the number 11. This is the only game-worn Aparicio Venezuelan jersey that we know to exist.
