1965-68 Joe Pepitone Game Used Bat
Legend has it, Joe Pepitone spent his entire $25,000 New York Yankees signing bonus en route to spring training in Florida, showing up to his first practice in a brand new sharkskin suit, with a new car, boat, and dog in tow. Obviously ahead of his time in terms of flashiness, Pepitone nonetheless proved himself to be standout in both batting and as a baseman. This Hillerich & Bradsby model P104 Louisville Slugger has Pepitone's facsimile signature on the barrel, and shows very nice game use with ball marks, seam marks bat rack marks and pine tar. Handle is badly cracked, and is held together with nails and tape. At the bottom, number 25 is written on the knob in faded marker.
