1965 Curt Flood St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Cap

1965 Curt Flood St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Cap

This cap carries with it the highest level of authenticity and is iron-clad. Obtained at the 1965 Pinch Hitters Ball-B-Que on August 7, 1965, it was donated by Curt Flood himself with all proceeds going to charity. Incredibly, it still carries the original 1965 auction tag listing "Cap donated by Curt Flood, Size 7 1/8." There's New Era tagging inside with leather head band and "21" under the brim with "FLOOD" written in the band in faded ink. Shows truly great game use. Curt Flood is a player of unique proportions as he selflessly and courageously declared free agency, fighting the establishment. That sets him apart from all others and has enriched his baseball brethren unlike any player in history.
