1965 Floyd Patterson vs. George Chuvalo Signed On-Site Fight Poster (PSA)
The Ring magazine's "Fight of the Year" for 1965 pitted Patterson, a two-time Heavyweight Champion on the comeback trail after two crushing defeats to Sonny Liston, versus George Chuvalo, possessor of boxing's greatest chin. In his entire pro career (93 bouts), including sparring matches, Boom Boom was never knocked off his feet, despite fighting Ali, Frazier and Foreman at their peaks.Signed by Chuvalo in NRMT black Sharpie, "Roberto, Get in shape. I may make a comeback!! George Chuvalo." On-site poster at MSG measures 22x28". Despite wear (border chips & tears, center crease) the majority of the piece is very clean and displays wonderfully with minimal distraction. Authenticated by PSA and comes with an LOA.
