1965 Muhammad Ali vs. Sonny Liston "Phantom Punch" Full Tickets (PSA 7 & PSA 8)
Collection of three full tickets to the heavyweight championship boxing bout between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston held at St. Dominic's Arena in Lewiston, Maine, on May 25th, 1965. The collection represents three of the four different color variations issued for the fight (blue, gold, and pink), and each has been individually encapsulated and graded by PSA. The blue ticket has been graded NM-MT 8, while the gold and pink examples have received a grade of NM 7. This was the controversial rematch between Ali and Liston that ended with the famous "phantom punch" thrown by Ali that knocked Liston out in the first round. It also gave the sports world one of its most iconic photograph images: Neil Leifer's classic photo of Ali standing triumphantly over Liston at the end of the bout. This an outstanding high-grade ticket collection to one of the Ali's most memorable fights.
