1965 The Beatles Grammy Nomination Plaque

1965 The Beatles Grammy Nomination Plaque

The next best thing to a Beatles Grammy Award and just as difficult to find. Luscious wood plaque sports the irrepressible logo of “The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences” with ghosted image of the Grammy Award in gold. Presented to “The Beatles” it is a “Nomination for the Best Performance By A Vocal Group” for the song Help! A fascinating Beatles song, Help! was recorded during a period when John Lennon was quite depressed. Their pop facade could not hide the profound and thought provoking lyrics of the man and band that had now grown up considerably both musically and personally. Beautifully shadow box framed to about 13x16”, award itself is 8x11”. NRMT. Believe it or not they lost to the Anita Kerr Singers for We Dig Mancini. Therefore, this is the true Grammy!
