1965 Topps Exceptional HIGH GRADE Complete Set with PSA Graded including PSA MINT 9 Willie Mays
<p>The old saying is that "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." To an extent, so it is within the auction industry as the seller of cherished items, primarily when your attain record setting prices for these items. You do very well with a high grade complete set, or group of sets, such as our high grade set run of March 2017, and people contact you with similar items. That being the case, we present one of the nicest 1965 Topps sets we have seen in quite some time, with each card hand-picked by our consignor for all the attributes of high grade cards, but he wanted to concentrate on "overall eye appeal." And he built a set with sterling overall eye appeal. Centering is tremendous throughout, and colors both front and back are bold and beautiful. There are 16 graded cards, with four submitted by Leland's to PSA, those being Perez RC (PSA 8), Koufax (PSA 8), Clemente and Aaron (both PSA 7, but super sharp). The Mays was already a PSA MINT 9. I believe the Perez rookie is MINT, too, and would be a candidate for third-party review. The other star cards in the "ungraded" section are almost all NM/MT condition. Why send them all in when we can let the bidders have some PSA fun, too?
