1966-67 Amos Bullock Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey
<p>This game-worn jersey belonging to running back Amos Bullocks comes from the scarce and desirable "Batman" style the Steelers used for only two years (1966 & 67'). Bullocks' career followed a strange trajectory that ultimately led him to the Steelers in 1966. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1962 but was traded to a Canadian Football League team a few years later to acquire the rights of a CFL player they had drafted in 1963. After breaking his ankle in his first season in the CFL, Bullocks was waived by the BC Lions. He spent the next year out of football entirely, but received a try-out from the Steelers after penning a letter to then head coach Bill Austin. Bullocks was signed to the team's taxi squad but eventually earned a spot on the regular roster, and in the final game of the year logged 29 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown. The jersey is mostly white save for a gold yoke that adorns the top of the uniform. Bullocks' number "49" appearing in black on the front, back, and both shoulders. A Honus Wagner Sporting Goods tag can be seen on the tail, denoting the jersey's size as "44". The jersey has seen nice use with some staining, four team repairs at the right shoulder area, and some pilling inside. <strong style="font-size: small;">All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers.</strong></p><p><strong style="font-size: 13.3333px;">A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research</strong></p>
