1966 Beatles Butcher Cover

1966 Beatles Butcher Cover

The notorious Beatles “butcher” cover for their 1966 album “Yesterday and Today” is presented here in all its gory glory, with the fab four in butcher smocks, propped with doll heads and bodies as well as hunks of meat, in a photograph taken by Robert Whitaker. This version is warped, peeled, and a bit scuffed, with much of the spine missing (“…and Today - The Beatles” remains). Still clearly controversial, it measures 12" x 12".
