1966 Johnny Bench Topps Minor League Player of the Month Award Watch
This gold Bulova wrist watch was awarded to a young Johnny Bench for being chosen as minor league player of the month by the Topps Company, when the budding catcher played backstop for the Peninsula team in the southeastern Carolina League. Watch’s face shows “Bulova” name, and “Topps Award.” Turn it over to its sterling silver back where engraved it reads “Topps Player-of-the-Month June 1966, John Bench C, Peninsula, Carolina League.” A real nice item from the early days of this Hall of Famer.
