1966 Ken Kesey

1966 Ken Kesey "Trip Festival" Original Negatives (26)

Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters joined forces with Bill Graham, the Grateful Dead and other hip and unconventional forces to pull together the “Trip Festival,” a three day multimedia festival at the Longshoreman’s Hall in San Francisco in January, 1966. Great original 35mm color negatives (26 from January 20, 1966) chronicle some of this event’s happenings, focusing on Kesey and Carolyn Adams, mother to Kesey’s daughter and future wife to Jerry Garcia, playing some weird musical instrument.
