1966 Lost In Space Wax Bubble Gum Box
This box (8 x 4 x 2") promoted the hit science fiction TV series that ran from 1965 to 1968. The blue box with yellow writing says, "Lost in Space, Bubble Gum 5 Cents", and features a giant alien gorilla/werewolf/vampire/Cyclops-type of character holding a man (who looks very tiny) pointing a machine gun at the creature's face. Some members of the cast are featured on the sides of the box. Along the length of the box (the yellow side), it says, "Eyes right...on the best-selling bubble gum you can feature", and a cartoon boy has the Bazooka logo as his eyes. The bottom of the box says it's made by Topps Chewing Gum, Inc., and that it was manufactured in Brooklyn. There is a slit from the manufacturer at the top of the box, which still smells sweet.
