1966 Roger Maris Home New York Yankees Pants

1966 Roger Maris Home New York Yankees Pants

Rugged pair of New York Yankees home pants worn by Maris in 1966, his final season with the Bronx Bombers before moving on to the Cards. Maris left with a bitter taste in his mouth, feeling he never received his due for breaking Ruth's single season HR record in '61, and we're inclined to agree. As Maris once said, "I thought hitting 60 home runs was something." It sure was, and then some. Spalding white pants with classic navy pinstripes have Maris' name and number 9 sewn into the inside of the waist along with "66, 36, 24 ins." and a tag reading, "Set 1, 1966". To the right of the tag is "38" written in black pen. Shows great use. Great item from a guy who belongs in the HOF, pronto.
