1967-68 Carl Yastrzemski Boston Red Sox Game Used Bat
Circa 1967-68 bat game used by Boston Red Sox all-time great Carl Yastrzemski. Weighing 32 ounces and 34.5" in length, knob has the model number W215 stamped along with illegible black marker writing and slight chip, nice use includes bat rack transfers and moderate checking. This would date from the prime of Yaz's career, as he was the American League MVP in '67, leading the league in runs scored (112), hits (189), and claimed the Triple Crown, leading in homers (44), RBI (121), and average (.326). Yastrzemski's 1967 feat was the last time an American Leaguer took home the Triple Crown until Miguel Cabrera did so in 2012, the only time it has been done since.
