1967-68 Frank Mahovlich Autographed Game Used Stick
Known as “the Big M,” Frank Mahovlich joined fellow Hall of Famers Gordie Howe and Alex Delvecchio to provide Detroit with one of the NHL’s best offensive lines ever. After a stellar career as a winger with Toronto, Mahovlich joined the Red Wings (and his brother Pete) in 1967. In 1968-69 Frank had one of his best years ever, scoring 49 goals in the season. In 1970 he was traded from Detroit to Montreal. In 1181 career NHL games, Frank Mahovlich tallied 533 goals and scored 1103 points. He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981. This Northland Custom Pro stick is taped on the slightly curved blade. The manufacturer’s stampings and "Big M" are in black ink, and the black celluloid accent taping is slightly worn. Mahovlich’s signature in green ink is on the stick approximately 15 inches up from the blade. The signature grades a strong 8 of 10. This one shows great use with many puck and stick marks, and a very slight chip at the tip of the blade.
