1967-68 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Trophy Presented to Ralph Backstrom (LOA)

1967-68 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Trophy Presented to Ralph Backstrom (LOA)

From the Original Six, the six-time Stanley Cup Champion, six-time NHL All Star AND the winner of the 1958-59 Calder Cup for outstanding rookie of the year. Gleaming 13" silver Stanley Cup was presented to Montreal Canadien Ralph Backstrom for winning the ultimate prize in the sport of hockey. Vintage original in gilt overlay was obtained directly from the center for the greatest franchise in the history of professional hockey and the year of Willie O'Ree breaking the color line (for the Boston Bruins in a game versus the Canadiens) and Maurice Richard scoring his historic 500th goal. Comes with his well-detailed Letter of Authenticity from Ralph Backstrom establishing airtight provenance and adding significant long term value and collector security. On original wood base with felt bottom, it has only some minor wear and tarnishing from handling and five decades on his trophy shelf.
