1967 Boston Red Sox World Series Black Bat

1967 Boston Red Sox World Series Black Bat

The 1967 "Impossible Dream" Red Sox season culminated with a World Series game 7 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. At the beginning of the season not much was expected out of the Red Sox. However they surprised everyone, including their own fans, by finishing in first place, one game ahead of the second place (tied) Tigers and Twins. This is an H&B commemorative black bat imprinted in green "Boston Red Sox American League Champions 1967". It is also imprinted in gold lettering with all of the players including Jim Lonborg, Elston Howard, Tony Conigliaro, Carl Yastrzemski, Ken Harrelson, Rico Petrocelli, Sparky Lyle, and coaches Sal Maglie and Bobby Doerr as well as manager Dick Williams (only name in green). Bat is NRMT+.
