1967 Dal Maxvill St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Road Jersey

1967 Dal Maxvill St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Road Jersey

A gold glove shortstop, Dal Maxvill retired with a .973 fielding average, the best career mark in the National League at the time. This St. Louis Cardinals grey flannel road jersey was worn by Dal Maxvill during the 1967 season, and is very possibly his World Series jersey as well. "Cardinals" with logo is stitched on the front, the player number "27" is stitched on the front and back, done in red on black felt. Across the back above the player number is stitched the player name "Maxvill" in red on black felt letters, very tough to find with original name on back. Red "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with size "44" in black is stitched onto the front left tail. Below this is embroidered in red "67" and "Maxvill," indicating the year and player name, respectively. Below this is the white wash instructions tag, adjacent to which is a small white flag tag that reads "Set 1, 1967." Jersey appears to be all-original with no alterations, shows nice use with noticeable perspiration toning.
