1967 Muhammad Ali Ironic "World Champion" Signature
This bold and scarce 1960s signature of Muhammad Ali is historically important and arrogantly inscribed "World Champion" to defy the establishment that had stripped him of the title. Signed "To Kerry" who added the all-important "1967." On the later cut page of an appointment book done on the fly for what was handy in an unprepared, in-person celebrity moment. The signature is attached to the back of a locksmith's card and irregularly shaped to 3x3.25", and this fascinating item is not creased.
