1967 Stan Musial St. Louis Cardinals Jersey
This vintage 1967 Cardinals jersey was worn by Hall of Famer Stan Musial for either an Old-Timers function or perhaps as physical fitness advisor under President Lyndon Johnson, a part-time position created to promote better fitness among Americans. The road gray jersey features the familiar redbirds perched on a bat with the name "Cardinals" written in red script below, as well as a red #6. A "Rawlings 44" patch adorns the tail, as well as a "Set 1 1967" tag. In 1967, the Cards moved into their new Busch Stadium and went on to win the World Series with Musial as General Manager, a position he held for that year alone. A three-time National League MVP, "Stan the Man" was a 24-time All-Star, accumulating 3,630 hits. And as a testament to his consistency, Musial finished his brilliant career with 1,815 hits both at home and on the road.
