Displayed is a team baseball signed by the 1967 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. 25+ signatures in all. Signing Cardinal players: Hall of Famers Bob Gibson, Steve Carlton, Orlando Cepeda (sweet spot), Lou Brock (slightly faded, but still legible). Plus, players Roger Maris, Curt Flood (challenger to baseball's reserve clause), Dick Sisler, Tim McCarver, Bob Tolan, Nelson Briles, Ray Washburn, Dick Schofield, Larry Jaster, and Manager Red Schoendienst (Hall of Fame as a player). And more. The Cardinals defeated the Boston Red Sox in the World Series in 1967 by 4-3 in games. In the regular season, the Cardinals' Cepeda hit .325 with 25 home runs and 111 RBIs for St. Louis, Flood hit .335, and Brock batted .295 with 52 steals. Pitchers Dick Hughes (16-6), Carlton (14-0), and Gibson (13-7) were the key starters. The signatures are signed in blue ink from a ballpoint pen, and the signatures average 7/10.
