1967 Yankees Tour Original Photos & Negatives
Cache of 34 one of a kind snapshots and the original negs taken during a preseason 1967 Yankees tour of Puerto Rico show the pomp and excitement of watching the Yanks and the Baltimore Orioles being introduced before a big crowd at Hiram Bithorne Stadium in San Juan, then taking their cuts -- with the intrepid lensman actually capturing a Mickey Mantle home run! But that’s only one big capture. Another, taken during an Orioles-Pirates game, has island hero Roberto Clemente being honored pregame and then during an at bat. Other candid shots of Elston Howard, Frank & Brooks Robinson, Johnny Pesky, Hank Bauer, etc. 3.25 x 3.25” photos are in color (a tad faded) w/captions on back and are VG with edges uniformly curled up, negs NRMT.
