1968 Elgin Baylor Game Worn Los Angeles Lakers Jersey
One of the greatest to have ever played the game, Elgin Baylor was a superstar and innovator of a different time, unchartered by the exploits of television marketing. Adding to his fabled myth is the fact that his prowess on the court is only recounted through word of mouth from people who saw him play in person. His best moves and most creative offensive displays were never captured on film, and since he played at the same time as Wilt Chamberlain, Baylor never enjoyed a scoring title, although he averaged 27.4 points per game during his 14-year career. Yellow Los Angeles Lakers jersey is one that he wore for his last full season with the Lakers, during the 1968 season, only to fall to the Boston Celtics in the finals yet again. Dureen jersey with “Lakers” across the top of the front with his number “22” below in 3-D style white on purple tackle twill. Back is arched, “Baylor” with “22” again in 3-D style. The use on the jersey is about as perfect as you can ask for, showing the ideal amount of use and wear, confirming that it was worn for multiple games, possibly a considerable part of the season. Slight fading to the numbers and letters, but all intact and no team repairs. No tagging. Comes with detailed LOA.
