1968 Thurman Munson Handwriten And Signed Letter

1968 Thurman Munson Handwriten And Signed Letter

Fabulous handwritten letter from Thurman Munson dates to 1968, and has excellent baseball content. From July of that year, the second paragraph reads: “I was to join the Yankees at the end of the summer, but I am going to the reserves instead. That way I can play all year.” Signed “Thurman L. Munson” at the end. Red ball-point writing is very strong, at least a 9/10 overall. Unlined sheet has vertical mailing fold, otherwise Excellent. Includes original envelope also filled out in The Captain’s hand. Nicely framed with 8 x 10” color photo and his 1970 Topps rookie card. This is the earliest scripture we’ve encountered of this tough, gritty and beloved Yankee backstop.
